Adah Ehi, Pompi to perform at Theresa Phondo Live concert
Nigerian gospel musician Adah Ehi and Zambian artist Pompi will perform at Malawian musician Theresa Phondo’s concert slated for October 31 at the Bingu International Convention Centre Amphitheatre in Lilongwe.
Dubbed the Theresa Phondo Live in Concert, the event will also feature Malawian artists, including Praise Umali, Paul Kachala, Beraca and Esther Chitheka.

Phondo in an interview said she organised the concert to celebrate her musical journey while connecting Malawi’s music industry with the rest of Africa through the participation of the international artists.
“This is a special one. It’s Malawian at heart, but connecting to the rest of Africa. We are having a Nigerian representative, Adah Ehi, a Zambian representative and I think it’s just going to be a very special night, God willing,” she said.
Phondo started her music career as part of Zathu Band in 2016 before embarking on her solo career in 2021, a period she says has seen significant growth in her music.
She said the concert will also provide an opportunity to appreciate people who have supported her career.
Lusayo Mwaisimba of Kesase Group, a partner in the event, said preparations for the concert are at an advanced stage, with different teams handling event management, design, marketing, welfare and coordination.
“We have a very strong team. Everyone is on top of their job. At this stage, I think we are very prepared,” he said.
